The mission of the Friends is to create awareness of and appreciation for library services. All proceeds raised by the Friends are for the use of Bliss Memorial Public Library. The Friends' year runs from March to March and involves only one meeting in late March. Officers are: President Fran Fleet, Vice-President Elaine Levans, Secretary Sandy Kuntz, and Treasurer Ruth Kagy. All other involvement is on a volunteer basis. Membership dues are $2.50 for a single person and $5.00 for a family. Special donor levels are Friend from $10.00-$25.00, Patron from $26.00-$50.00, and Sponsor for over $50.00. It is easy to join the Friends. Just complete the membership form, available at the library, return the form and your dues to the library. This is just one way you can support your local library.
